Golfo di Orosei (the Gulf of Orosei) is located along the central eastern coast of Sardinia. Stretching for more than 40 km along the coast, it is characterized by very high limestone ramparts covered with lush and diverse Mediterranean vegetation. Most parts of the Gulf of Orosei has remained inaccessible by land for centuries. Its breathtaking beaches are surrounded by vertical limestone cliffs and deep gorges carved by ancient rivers now disappeared or swallowed the plateau karst above.
